LITTLETON, Colo. — Athem Memory Care has named Danae Mierau as executive director of Willowbrook Place in Littleton. She will be overseeing all daily care, programming and operations. Mierau previously was director of rehabilitation and physical therapy with Legacy Healthcare in Littleton. She has also served as a physical therapist with Berkley Home Health Care in Aurora. Mierau graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the University of Missouri.
VENICE, Fla. — Ryan Cos. US Inc. and Grand Living have started construction of Grand Living at Wellen Park, a luxury senior living community in Venice. The community will be part of Wellen Park, a master-planned community on the state’s Gulf Coast. The 235,267-square-foot building will bring 192 apartments to Wellen Park. EAST HANOVER, N.J. — CHA Partners has unveiled plans for LIVIA, the first project of a new upscale senior living brand, with a new facility in East Hanover. An additional facility is under construction in Totowa, N.J. LIVIA communities will offer assisted living, memory care, long-term care and rehabilitation services. Transformed from the original Sycamore Living location in East Hanover, the first installment of the LIVIA brand is scheduled to open this month. SCRANTON, Pa. — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 272-bed skilled nursing facility in Scranton. The property was built in 1974 with an expansion in 1997. The three-story building sits on 7.3 acres. The seller had a tenant that desired to exit operations in the state. The buyer was a Pennsylvania-based skilled nursing owner. The price was not disclosed. Bradley Clousing and Toby Siefert handled the transaction for SLIB.
LEBANON, Ohio — Ziegler has arranged $8.5 million in financing for Otterbein Homes, a Lebanon-based operator of senior living communities in Ohio and Indiana. Otterbein’s portfolio includes 1,300 independent living units, 450 assisted living units and 1,000 skilled nursing units across its eight SeniorLife Communities and nine Neighborhoods.
