Capital Funding Launches Meal Program for Caregivers in Maryland

by Jeff Shaw

BALTIMORE — Capital Funding Group (CFG) and CFG Bank are reinvesting some of the funds earned from facilitating Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to provide meals to frontline healthcare workers at skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in Maryland.

Rise Biscuits will provide lunch meals and dinner will be provided by both Maryland Blackwall Hitch locations and some of the Maryland Greene Turtle locations. Driven Private Transportation will deliver the meals to 53 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in Baltimore and surrounding areas.

“Nursing homes/assisted living facilities and their employees have unfortunately received less of a spotlight and more negative news than other healthcare facilities though their work and dedication is equally important,” says Jack Dwyer, owner and chairman of the board of CFG and CFG Bank. “We want to change that. We are hopeful that other industries across the country, in particular banks and those who lend to and service the healthcare sector, will continue to support these everyday heroes in giving back to their communities.”

CFG continues to lend to its healthcare clients and CFG Bank continues to fund PPP loans. Both companies are based in Baltimore.
