Fleegle previously served as executive director at Lifespace’s Village on the Green community in Longwood, Florida from 2016 to 2019.  Fleegle has extensive executive-level leadership experience in senior living, healthcare and human services. PORTLAND, Ore. — Vassar Byrd has announced plans to resign as CEO of Rose Villa, the nonprofit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Portland she has served for 17 years.  Byrd’s decision follows the completion of Rose Villa’s 10-year master plan and campus redevelopment. A departure date has not been set and Byrd will continue serving as CEO while an executive search is underway. Byrd joined Rose Villa in 2006. VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Evans Senior Investments (ESI) has arranged the sale of Beth Sholom Village, a seniors housing community in Virginia Beach. The seller is a mission-based nonprofit group. A Mayland-based owner-operator was selected as the buyer. The price was not disclosed. Beth Sholom Village opened in 1980 with 120 licensed skilled nursing beds. The seniors housing component was added in 2004 and includes 56 assisted living and 18 memory care units. DUNEDIN, Fla. — Acts Retirement-Life Communities Inc. and Mease Life, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in the Tampa suburb of Dunedin, have agreed to affiliate. Under the agreement, Mease Life will become an Acts affiliate member and part of a network of CCRCs that Acts operates. SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Friendship Village of Schaumburg, an independent continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, has filed for Chapter 11 protection through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois and is seeking a sale.
