MATTESON, Ill. — Alexi Senior Living Corp. has received $17.7 million in HUD financing, allowing the company to start construction of Alexi Senior Community in Matteson, a southern suburb of Chicago. Upon completion the property will feature 55 assisted living and 20 memory care units. The 81,500-square-foot building will be the first of four planned for the property. AURORA, Ill. — Lancaster Pollard has provided $14.8 million in HUD financing for the development of a Thrive skilled nursing facility in Aurora, approximately 38 miles west of downtown Chicago. The 68-bed facility will focus on post-acute care. The borrower is Innovative Health and its Chicago-based parent company, which has three communities under construction. WINTERS, Calif. — Alliant Capital has completed an investment in Blue Mountain Terrace, a 63-unit affordable seniors housing development in Winters, a rural city approximately 25 miles west of Sacramento. Domus is developing the community, which will serve those age 62 and older earning between 25 and 60 percent of the area median income. HAMMOND, La. — Phoenix Senior Living has unveiled plans for The Phoenix at Hammond, a 91-unit assisted living and memory care community in the New Orleans suburb of Hammond. First Guaranty Bank is the lending partner for the project. Groundbreaking is scheduled to take place before the end of January. Phoenix Senior Living, founded in 2014, operates 26 communities throughout the Southeast. The Phoenix at Hammond will be the company’s second community in Louisiana.
SPRING, Texas — Frontier Management has broken ground on The Landing at Augusta Woods, a 120-unit seniors housing community in Spring, a northern suburb of Houston. The property, which will include 75 units for independent living and 45 assisted living units, is set to open in early 2021. The project team includes general contractor Regent Construction, architect Jeffrey DeMure & Associates and construction lender UCB. Frontier Management will operate Landing at Augusta Woods, joining the more than 100 seniors housing communities in its management portfolio.
