The asset features 40 units and 52 beds and was built in 2015. The property totals 38,585 square feet on approximately 4.7 acres of land. The seller was an out-of-state private equity group with a third-party operator divesting the asset to exit the senior living space. AURORA, Colo. — Anthem Memory Care has named Iva Prinsen as executive director for Chelsea Place in Aurora. In this capacity, she will oversee all daily care, programming and operations. Prinsen previously was executive director for Springbrooke Senior Living in Denver. She also served as the licensed nursing home administrator for Azria Health in Blue Hill, Nebraska. Prinsen brings over 35 years of senior living experience to this position. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Stevens-Henager College in Salt Lake City.

VERNON HILLS, Ill. — OneLife Senior Living has acquired the former Springs of Vernon Hills Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in the Chicago suburb of Vernon Hills.  The firm has since rebranded the 70-unit property as The Laurel at Vernon Hills. OneLife retained all 59 staff members, and reviewed and updated benefits, wages and best practices for staffing. OneLife reduced temporary agency staff and increased permanent team members.  The Laurel at Vernon Hills provides memory care services for people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles County judge has dismissed all charges against memory care giant Silverado, as well as its CEO Loren Shook and two other executives. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón brought the charges in March, and they were related to 14 COVID-related deaths at Silverado communities. LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Anthem Memory Care has assumed management of Pinnacle Place Memory Care, formerly known as Avenir of Little Rock.  Under the agreement, Anthem Memory Care now manages all aspects of the community’s operations and will add regional staff, technology and training programs to adapt the community to its approach to care. MANASSAS, Va. — Commonwealth Senior Living has acquired UVA Health Caton Merchant House, a seniors housing community in the western D.C. suburb of Manassas.  The purchase marks the buyer’s 28th community in Virginia, and it will be rebranded as Commonwealth Senior Living at Manassas.  Commonwealth plans to implement a complete renovation which includes updating all of the apartments and public areas as well as the addition of a new memory care neighborhood.
