MOORESTOWN, N.J. — Resort Lifestyle Communities has completed Parkers Bend Retirement, an independent living community in Moorestown, approximately 10 miles east of Philadelphia.  The company will hold a grand opening for the community on April 18. Although the number of units was not disclosed, they come in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom plans.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Hudson Valley Property Group has completed the renovation of Grandview Terrace Apartments, a 283-unit affordable seniors housing complex in the Journal Square area of Jersey City.  The $15.2 million, 16-month project upgraded the cabinetry, countertops, appliances, lighting, flooring, walls and water fixtures in the units and added amenities such as a new sky lounge with a stretching room, community room, library and a computer center.  KeyBank provided construction financing for the project, and that loan was refinanced under HUD’s 223(f) program upon completion.

NEWARK, Del.; HAMILTON and WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Juniper Communities has taken over management of three Leisure Care senior living properties providing assisted living and memory care. The three properties are part of Columbia Pacific Advisors’ seniors housing portfolio. The move adds 397 assisted living and memory care units and approximately 300 associates to Juniper’s current portfolio. VINELAND and WINSLOW, N.J. — Live Well Senior Cottages, a New Jersey-based seniors housing development firm, has received governmental approval for two seniors housing development projects in Vineland and Winslow. The two municipalities are located approximately 15 miles away from each other, both in South Jersey about midway between Philadelphia and the Atlantic Coast. WEST ORANGE, N.J. — Sherman & Roylance has negotiated the sale of the former Canterbury Village, a 44-unit, 53-bed assisted living community in the New York City suburb of West Orange. The buyer was a private senior living operator led by industry veterans Scott Burman and Lorne Schechter. The price was not disclosed. WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Meyer has opened The Chelsea at Washington Township, a luxury assisted living and memory care community located in the Washington Township, a suburb of Philadelphia. Capitol Seniors Housing owns the two-story, 76,700 square-foot community, which Chelsea Senior Living operates. The asset features 85 residential units with one and two-bedroom options. Its opening marks the fourth senior living property Meyer completed in 2023.

Located at 46 Mount Pleasant Ave., the project will be situated in the town’s central business district, adjacent to the town hall, police facility, and Renna House senior apartments.
