Greensboro, N.C. — Berkadia has arranged a $71.3 million loan for the refinancing of Abbotswood at Irving Park, a senior living community located in Greensboro. KISCO Senior Living was the borrower.  Austin Sacco, Steve Muth, Garrett Sacco and Alec Rosenfeld of Berkadia Seniors Housing & Healthcare secured the financing through Freddie Mac.  Located at 3504 Flint St., Abbotswood at Irving Park offers cottages and independent living and assisted living units, as well as memory care suites.

RALEIGH, N.C. — PruittHealth has broken ground on its $385.5 million redevelopment project at The Oaks at Whitaker Glen, a continuing care retirement community in Raleigh. The project will combine upscale senior living, public-facing retail stores and healthcare on one campus. Upon completion, the community will feature 246 independent living units, ranging from studio size to three bedrooms; 82 assisted living apartments; and a new, 106-bed, state-of-the-art skilled nursing center. CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Ziegler has arranged $76.2 million in bond financing for Carolina Meadows, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Chapel Hill, part of the Raleigh-Durham metro area. Carolina Meadows was formed in 1983 to develop, own and manage the community. PINEHURST, N.C. — Liberty Senior Living has completed renovations at Quail Haven Village in Pinehurst, approximately midway between Charlotte and Raleigh. Quail Haven Village features 79 units of independent living, 12 units of assisted living and 60 beds of skilled nursing and rehabilitation, in addition to offering home care services on its campus.  Renovations included improvements to the dining room, clubhouse and apartments.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Waltonwood Senior Living has released plans for Waltonwood Lead Mine, an assisted living and memory care community set to open in Raleigh in fall 2025.  The community will feature 95 units, including 65 for assisted living and 30 for memory care. The site is near Crabtree Valley Mall and the North Hills area, which Waltonwood selected to provide convenient access to local amenities and services. NORTH CAROLINA — Capital Funding Group (CFG) has provided a $36.2 million bridge-to-HUD loan to support the refinancing of five skilled nursing facilities in North Carolina. The properties feature a total of 522 beds. Through this deal, CFG refinanced an existing loan to include two additional underleveraged facilities.  Tommy Dillon of CFG originated the transaction.
