IRVINE, Calif. — WNC, an investor focused on affordable real estate including seniors housing, has promoted Wendy Yan to vice president of underwriting.

CHICAGO — LeadingAge, a Washington-based association of nonprofit seniors housing providers, has named Katie Smith Sloan as its new president and CEO effective at the beginning of 2016.

IRVING, Texas — Seniors housing developer The LaSalle Group Inc. has promoted David Starr to the position of senior vice president and general counsel. He most recently served as the company’s vice president and general counsel. The company concurrently named three new vice presidents — Marika Johnson, vice president of operations and senior living; Daphne Bernstein, vice president of sales; and Lynette Choplin, vice president – health and wellness.

NEW YORK CITY — Premier Senior Living LLC, a New York-based operator of 11 communities in New York, Florida and Ohio, has hired three to executive positions.

DALLAS — Holliday Fenoglio Fowler L.P. (HFF) has hired David Fasano as a director in its Dallas office. Fasano will work alongside managing directors Ryan Maconachy and Chad Lavender in HFF’s seniors housing group within its national healthcare practice. 

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — National Health Investors Inc. (NYSE: NHI) has named Eric Mendelsohn as the company’s president and chief executive officer. Mendelsohn was already the interim CEO following the departure of Justin Hutchens to HCP Inc. in August.
