WASHINGTON, D.C. — LeadingAge has announced that Katie Smith Sloan, president and CEO of the association, will step down, effective March 31, 2027.
Sloan has served in her current roles since January 2016. Prior to that, she held the position of chief operating officer with the organization.
“It has been the honor of my life to serve LeadingAge for the past 10 years as president and CEO, and for 10 years before that as chief operating officer,” says Sloan. “I have been privileged to work alongside talented colleagues who go above and beyond every day to advocate for and support our members. I have been inspired by the dedication and creativity of a membership that works tirelessly to ensure older people can live their best lives. Our vision of an America that values older adults and those who serve them has never been more important,” she adds.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., LeadingAge is an association of more than 5,300 nonprofit and mission-driven aging services providers.
