DALLAS — Edgemere, a continuing care retirement community in North Dallas, has promoted Teresa Bates to executive director.  Bates brings more than 25 years of senior living experience to the community. She started with Edgemere in 2002 and assisted with the opening of its health center. She held several positions within the community for 17 years before returning in 2022 as the associate executive director. As executive director at Edgemere, Bates oversees the daily operations of the community across all departments and team members.

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — EBSC Lending has provided a $51.8 million loan for the expansion of a senior living and skilled nursing community located in Garfield Heights, a suburb of Cleveland.  The 294,083 square-foot project will add a four-story independent and assisted living building featuring 86 units. The expansion also includes a two-story skilled nursing building and a two-story health center with a physical and occupational therapy gym and memory care suites. FORT WORTH, Texas — Nonprofit senior living provider Buckner Retirement Services has acquired The Stayton at Museum Way, a seniors housing community in Fort Worth. The Stayton at Museum Way is an 11-story continuing care retirement community featuring 188 independent living units, 42 assisted living units, 20 memory care units and 46 skilled nursing units.  The seller, Lifespace Communities, acquired The Stayton in 2019 and has operated it since. GREENVILLE, N.C. — LCS Development, An LCS Company, has received an undisclosed amount of financing for the community expansion and remodeling project at Cypress Glen, a senior living community in Greenville.  The $90 million project will add 57 independent living residences and include a new auditorium, expo kitchen, wine bar and remodeled amenities. US Inc. has completed the second phase of a master-planned renovation on the 50-acre campus of Friendship Village Tempe.  The newly constructed, four-story, 142,000-square-foot building is 89 percent occupied.
