COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Ventas has completed a $3.7 million renovation at Liberty Heights, its senior living community in Colorado Springs.  The project included updates to the property’s dining room, resident corridors and shared spaces, with improvements to lighting, flooring and finishes. Blackcomb Construction Group partnered with the owner on the renovation.  Situated on 26 acres, Liberty Heights totals 234 residences and offers a full continuum of care. Senior Lifestyle manages the property on behalf of Ventas.

Joint Venture to Develop 165-Unit Active Adult Community in Metro Houston

MONTGOMERY, Texas — A joint venture between Edison Equity Residential and ARCTRUST has announced plans to develop a 165-unit active adult community in Montgomery, located about 55 miles northwest of Houston.  Construction began in August, with the first move-ins scheduled to begin in November 2026. The community will be situated within the larger Woodforest master-planned development. ROCK HILL, S.C. — Nonprofit owner and operator Acts Retirement-Life Communities has announced plans for the expansion of Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill.  Upon completion, the project will add 130 new independent living units, including both apartments and carriage homes, as well as 20 assisted living suites and a memory care neighborhood. National CORE Receives $19.5M Construction Financing for Affordable Seniors Housing Project in Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Nonprofit developer National CORE has received $19.5 million in construction financing to fund the development of Hawthorne Heights, a new affordable seniors housing project in Gainesville.  KeyBank Community Development Lending and Investment provided a $13 million loan and secured a $6.5 million Freddie Mac permanent loan on behalf of the borrower.  National CORE received additional funding from Red Stone, which provided low-income housing tax credit equity and bonds from the Florida Housing Finance Corp., for the project. Hawthorn Senior Living Opens 149-Unit Independent Living Community Near Sacramento

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Developer, owner and operator Hawthorn Senior Living has opened Bear Hollow Estates, a new independent living community located in Rancho Cordova, roughly 15 miles outside Sacramento.  Totaling 149 units, the property features studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Amenities at the $46.5 million development include a fitness studio, movie theater, billiards lounge, pub, salon and library. Outdoor features include walking paths, raised garden beds and a fire-pit courtyard.  This marks Hawthorn Senior Living’s sixth community in California. Hawthorn’s national portfolio comprises more than 70 communities.
