Spellman Brady Completes Interior Design of Hawthorne Inn in Jerseyville, Illinois

JERSEYVILLE, Ill. — Spellman Brady & Company (SBC) and O’Toole Design have completed interior design work for the newly constructed Hawthorne Inn, an assisted living facility in Jerseyville, approximately 40 miles north of St. Louis. Liberty Village owns and operates the property. Spellman Brady was responsible for the selection, procurement and installation of the project’s furniture, artwork and accessories, in addition to serving as the senior living design consultant for the team. O’Toole handled the interior design and color palette finishes.

Bonaventure Breaks Ground on 138-Unit Acclaim at Cary Pointe in North Carolina

CARY, N.C. — Bonaventure has broken ground on Acclaim at Cary Pointe, a seniors housing community in Cary, located in the Raleigh-Durham area. The four-story building, Bonaventure’s first in the state, will feature 138 units ranging from 681 to 1,164 square feet. The type of care was not disclosed. Two similar communities under Bonaventure’s Acclaim brand opened this past summer: Acclaim at Belmont Bay in Woodridge, Va., and Acclaim at East Beach in Norfolk, Va. MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. — Sunrise Senior Living has opened the doors on Sunrise of Mountain Lakes in the North Jersey borough of Mountain Lakes. The community features 99 units of assisted living and memory care. Nearby medical support is available to support care coordination and wellness though Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital and Morristown Medical Center. Lakeland Hills Family YMCA offers transportation and intergenerational activity programming options. Germaine Dignan is the property’s executive director.

Montrose Center Opens LGBTQ-Friendly Affordable Community in Houston

HOUSTON — The Montrose Center has completed construction of the Law Harrington Senior Living Center, an age- and income-restricted housing community in Houston’s Third Ward. Designed by Smith & Co. Architects, this affordable, LGBTQ-affirming senior living center features 112 one- and two-bedroom independent living apartments. Development took seven years and cost $22 million. The property totals 162,000 square feet. Units are reserved for those over 62 years of age making up to 60 percent of the area median income. Walsh Construction Completes Broadview Affordable Community in Chicago

CHICAGO — Walsh Construction has completed work on Broadview Senior Apartments, an affordable community for residents over age 55 in Chicago. CIBC Bank USA provided a $5.3 million dollar construction loan and made a $6.9 million equity investment in the project, which rises three stories. New City Development Unveils Plans for $300M Mixed-Use Project in Indiana to Include Seniors Housing

PLAINFIELD, IND. — A partnership led by Indianapolis-based New City Development has unveiled plans for Hobbs Station, a $300 million mixed-use project in Plainfield, about 19 miles southwest of Indianapolis. Hobbs Station will be located on a 125-acre site just off U.S. Highway 40. At full build-out, Hobbs Station will feature 240 single-family homes, 650 multifamily units, 120 seniors housing residences, 70,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 540,000 square feet of logistics space and 200,000 square feet of build-to-suit office space.
