JCH Negotiates Lease of 68-Unit Community in Modesto, California

MODESTO, Calif. — JCH Senior Housing Investment has arranged the triple-net lease of a 68-unit, 120-bed assisted living and memory care community in Modesto, approximately 80 miles south of Sacramento. The team at JCH led a marketing campaign for the landlords, a family-owned owner-operator that is seeking retirement. Throughout the pandemic, the facility struggled to maintain census and keep up with new requirements from licensing, ultimately leading to a licensing revocation hearing. Diversified Healthcare Trust Transitions 66 Communities to New Operators

NEWTON, Mass. — Diversified Healthcare Trust (NASDAQ: DHC) has entered into three new management agreements for 66 of its seniors housing communities totaling 4,084 units. Charter Senior Living will manage communities in Florida, Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia; Oaks-CaraVita Senior Care will manage communities in Georgia and South Carolina; and Phoenix Senior Living will manage communities in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina. Anthem Names Theresa Bigalk as Executive Director of Cascade Creek in Rochester, Minnesota

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Athem Memory Care has named Theresa Bigalk as executive director of Cascade Creek, a new Anthem Memory Care community scheduled to open this summer in Rochester. She will oversee all daily operations and care at the community. Bigalk most recently was operations manager for Jaybird Senior Living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her two decades of experience also include serving as a senior living operations executive and director of social services throughout Minnesota. Bigalk received a bachelor’s degree in social work degree from Winona State University.
