DALLAS — The Aspenwood Company, a Dallas-based operator, has taken over operations of four retirement communities in North Texas. Aspenwood manages 20 luxury communities, mostly across the southern United States, primarily operating under The Village and The Village on the Park brands. The four new Aspenwood communities, operating under The Village on the Park brand, are located within the North Texas communities of Plano, Denton and McKinney. Together, they feature a total of 366 units. They include:
COLUMBUS, Ohio — United Church Homes Management (UCHM) has taken over management of two seniors housing communities in Columbus: Bexley Heritage Apartments and Village Shalom Apartments. UCHM already manages Wexner Heritage Village in Columbus. Further details were not disclosed.
DAVENPORT, Iowa — Health Dimensions Group (HDG) has taken over management of Country Manor Memory Care in Davenport. Country Manor Memory care is the Quad Cities’ only freestanding memory care community, according to HDG. The community features 38 licensed beds. Further details were not disclosed.
DALLAS — Edgemere, a continuing care retirement community in North Dallas, has promoted Teresa Bates to executive director. Bates brings more than 25 years of senior living experience to the community. She started with Edgemere in 2002 and assisted with the opening of its health center. She held several positions within the community for 17 years before returning in 2022 as the associate executive director. As executive director at Edgemere, Bates oversees the daily operations of the community across all departments and team members.
NEWARK, Del.; HAMILTON and WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Juniper Communities has taken over management of three Leisure Care senior living properties providing assisted living and memory care. The three properties are part of Columbia Pacific Advisors’ seniors housing portfolio. The move adds 397 assisted living and memory care units and approximately 300 associates to Juniper’s current portfolio. ST. PETERS, Mo. — Watermark Retirement Communities has named Kathleen Nardoni as executive director of The Watermark at St. Peters. Nardoni has a 15-year career in senior living, including all levels of care, marketing and administration, with responsibilities for opening a new independent living community. She is a licensed senior living administrator and spent time in law enforcement earlier in her career. She holds a degree in criminal law.

MINNEAPOLIS — Health Dimensions Group, a Minneapolis-based operator, has taken over day-to-day operations at Northern Lights Health Care Center and The Oaks at Northern Lights. HDG has been working closely with the communities’ teams since assuming operational oversight of Northern Lights Services on Feb. 1. In addition to Northern Lights Services, HDG manages 48 other senior living and care communities throughout the nation.
WOODSTOCK, Ga. — Oaks Senior Living has taken over management services for Camellia Place in Woodstock, a suburb north of Atlanta. The 96-unit community offers assisted living, memory care and respite care.
STAMFORD, Conn. — Benchmark Senior Living has taken over operations of the former Sunrise of Stamford, an assisted living and memory care community in Stamford, approximately 25 miles northeast of New York City. The 83-unit community will now be called Benchmark at Stamford.Including the new addition, Benchmark currently operates 65 senior living communities throughout the Northeast, including 20 in Connecticut and eight in Fairfield County.
