SAN MARCOS and GEORGETOWN, Texas —Developers have broken ground on two Pi Architects-designed seniors housing projects in San Marcos and Georgetown, both located outside Austin.
Investcor Development and Integral Senior Living have started construction on an unnamed project in San Marcos. The 72,500-square-foot community will include 68 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care units.
In Georgetown, Walker Real Estate and Square One Consultants have broken ground on North Star Georgetown. The 210-unit active adult community is reserved for those over age 55 and sits on 12 acres. The property will be separated into two buildings, one totaling 244,062 square feet and another totaling 54,694 square feet.
For the Georgetown project, Pi acted as both architect and landscape architect. The interior designer is Pat Berry Design, the general contractor is Skybeck Construction, the civil engineer is Pape-Dawson Engineers and the structural engineer is TDi Engineering.
