NEWNAN, Ga. — Watercrest Senior Living Group has hired Leisa Cawthon as executive director of Watercrest Newnan Assisted Living and Memory Care in Newnan, a southern suburb of Atlanta.
Watercrest Newnan is a 107-unit, resort-style senior living community currently under construction and scheduled to open in July.
Cawthon entered the healthcare field more than 25 years ago in rehabilitation therapy, advancing her career through education and training to serve in nursing, geriatrics, occupational health and pediatric neurology. She accepted a position as wellness director for an assisted living community in 2009. From there, she served as an executive director and regional leader, which encompassed training, operational management and startup expertise.
Watercrest Newnan is one of two joint venture development projects between Watercrest Senior Living Group and equity partner Waypoint Residential. The second project, Watercrest Fort Mill, is currently under construction in South Carolina and is slated to open in early 2020.
