SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — American House Senior Living Communities, a Southfield-based operator, has hired Schekesia Meadough for the newly created role of vice president of quality and clinical operations.
Meadough is responsible for the creation and implementation of nursing care and wellness strategies, policies, processes and programs across American House’s portfolio of more than 60 communities in five states.
Prior to joining American House, Meadough served as the vice president of health and wellness LaSalle Group. She has served in leadership and nursing roles over the past 20 years. Her prior assignments have included nurse surveyor for the State of Texas Health & Human Services; regional program director and faculty member for Kaplan Higher Education; and evaluator for the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). She began her career as an emergency room/trauma nurse at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center.
A registered nurse, Meadough holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue Global University, and is a certified dementia practitioner (CDP). She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in clinical nursing education from West Coast University.
