McShane Completes 238-Unit Stonepointe Affordable Community in Stonecrest, Georgia

STONECREST, Ga. — McShane Construction Co. has completed the construction of Stonepointe, a 238-unit affordable senior living community in Stonecrest, just southeast of Atlanta. Dominium was the developer of the project while Martin Riley Associates served as the architect. Construction began in January 2020. Positioned on 11.3 acres of land, the four-story building features units ranging from one to three bedrooms. Last month, McShane also completed Covington Crossings, another affordable senior living residence for Dominium in nearby Covington.

Dominium Begins Construction of 383-Unit Osprey Village Affordable Project in Poinciana, Florida

POINCIANA, Fla. — Dominium has started construction of Osprey Village, a 383-unit affordable seniors housing community in the Orlando suburb of Poinciana. Once completed, Osprey Village will provide 383 units of affordable seniors housing. Qualifying residents must be age 62 or older and earn no more than 60 percent of the area median income. Dominium acquired the land in July 2021 and financed the construction using 4 percent Low Income Housing Tax Credits and tax-exempt bonds. Olson Construction has broken ground on two affordable housing communities in Los Angeles County: Anaheim and Walnut in Long Beach and West Carson Villas in West Carson. The projects are slated for completion by summer 2023. Enterprise Community Development Completes $15.8M Baker Senior Apartments in Richmond, Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. — Enterprise Community Development has completed construction at Baker Senior Apartments in Richmond’s North Jackson Ward neighborhood. The project was a redevelopment projects that transformed the former Baker School, originally built in 1939, into 50 units of seniors housing. Development estimates were $15.8 million. Greystone Provides $17.6M Fannie Mae Financing for Affordable Portfolio Acquisition in New York City

NEW YORK CITY — Greystone has provided $17.6 million in Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) loans for the acquisition of two multifamily properties totaling 151 units in New York City. Dan Sacks and Ilan Bassali in Greystone’s New York office originated the loans on behalf of Heritage Affordable Communities LLC. Greystone provided a $12.5 million non-recourse loan to acquire Highland Avenue Senior Apartments, an 88-unit midrise seniors housing apartment property in Yonkers, which was constructed in 2008. COVINGTON, Ga. — McShane Construction Co. has completed work at Covington Crossings, a 198-unit affordable seniors housing community in Covington, approximately 35 miles east of Atlanta. Units are available in one- to three-bedroom options. Additionally, the property contains a surface-level parking lot with 208 spaces. Situated on a 13-acre site, the four-story building features wood frame construction with brick and cement siding. Martin Riley Associates provided architectural services for Covington Crossings.

Tryko Partners to Develop 46-Unit Cedarwood Homes Affordable Project in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — New Jersey-based Tryko Partners has announced plans for Cedarwood Homes, an age-restricted affordable housing project that will be located at the site of the former Fairywood School in Pittsburgh. The majority (39) of the units will be reserved for renters earning 60 percent or less of the area median income. The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency has awarded a 9 percent Low-Income Housing Tax Credit to fund the project. Completion is slated for late 2023.
