HAYWARD, Calif. — Meta Housing Corp. has broken ground on the Downtown Hayward Senior Apartments, a 60-unit affordable development in Hayward, 15 miles southeast of Oakland.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A clear majority of seniors housing executives plan to start new construction projects in 2016, although they are slightly less ambitious than they were a year ago, according to an online survey of 295 executives by Columbus-based lender Lancaster Pollard.

ITHACA, N.Y. — The Kendal Corp. has opened the first phase of the repositioning and expansion of Kendal at Ithaca, a full-service seniors housing community located on a 105-acre campus in Ithaca. The opening marks the completion of a $30 million expansion, which began in 2012.

DOTHAN, Ala. — Methodist Homes of Alabama and Northwest Florida has announced an $8.4 million expansion and renovation to Wesley Manor, a seniors housing community in Dothan, located in southeastern Alabama near the Florida and Georgia borders.
