ANNAPOLIS, Md. —The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) has appointed six executives from the seniors housing and care and real estate investment sectors to its Board of Directors. 

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — The Engel Burman Group, a Garden City-based owner-operator of a diverse portfolio of real estate assets including seniors housing, has hired Andreas Boyiakis to the company’s construction division as insurance coordinator.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Heritage Senior Living has promoted two employees to vice president positions. Jaime Schwingel was named senior vice president of quality and clinical operations, while Jason Berczy was named vice president of business development.

IRVINE, Calif. — The board of directors of the Council on Shaping Advancements in Generational Environments (SAGE) has named Katja Martinez as its president. Martinez is principal and senior designer with architecture and design firm JZMK.

SAN FRANCISCO — SmithGroup, a Detroit-based design firm, has hired Alexis Burck as the company’s senior living studio leader in the San Francisco office. 

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA), a regional senior living development and management company based in Vero Beach, has made three personnel moves at its corporate office: Sheila Wilson was promoted to vice president of health and wellness, Michael Siciliano to vice president of new operations and sales, and Kim Dembrowski was hired as national director of operational transition.

CHICAGO — Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR), a massive healthcare and seniors housing REIT based in Chicago, has hired Bhavana Devulapally as chief information officer.

ATLANTA — Bull Realty has hired Todd Gilmore to its National Senior Housing Group.

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. — Juniper Communities, a Bloomfield-based owner-operator, has promoted Anne Campbell to a corporate position, working in tandem with CEO Lynne Katzmann.
