BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — The Board of Directors of Brookdale Senior Living Inc. (NYSE: BKD) has unanimously nominated two new independent director candidates, Vicki Freed and Guy Sansone, to stand for election at the company’s 2019 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Lifespace Communities, a Des Moines-based nonprofit owner and operator of 15 senior living communities across eight states, has hired Susan Bowser as regional director of sales and marketing. Concurrently, Rob Clark was hired as regional director of operations.

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Watercrest Senior Living Group, a Vero Beach-based owner operator, has hired Riane Bernard as regional director of clinical operations and internally promoted Jessica Desjarlais to family office manager.

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Summit Healthcare REIT has promoted Kent Eikanas to chief executive officer and Elizabeth Pagliarini to chief operating officer. Pagliarini will continue to serve in her previous role of CFO as well.

CHICAGO — JLL, a Chicago-based brokerage and valuation firm, has hired three industry veterans — Zach Bowyer, Bennett Johnson and Bryan Lockard — to its Seniors Housing & Healthcare Valuation Advisory business.
