Kendal Hires Frank Mandy as Senior Project Director for Development

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. — Kendal Corp. has hired residential senior living project planning expert Frank Mandy as senior project director for development.

In his new position, Mandy will support real estate development efforts throughout the Kendal system, including managing design, construction, land use approvals and related matters.

Mandy comes to the Kendal family with 19 years of experience in project development, focusing on new continuing care retirement community (CCRC) projects and redevelopment of older campuses for nonprofit organizations. He also has 15 years of experience in state and national association management, including nine years as the eastern field director for LeadingAge, acting as liaison to its affiliates in 15 East Coast states.

In 1999, Mandy joined New Life Management & Development and became a partner working with nonprofit sponsors planning and developing new CCRCs. In 2010 he became a director for ParenteBeard LLC, leading the consulting firm’s efforts to move more deeply into senior living development and repositioning. Most recently, Mandy spent five years with Eventus Strategic Partners, where he worked with nonprofit clients on a variety of development and renovation projects.

Mandy is a published writer and accomplished speaker on a wide range of senior living issues. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at the State University of New York, College at Oneonta, and has a master’s degree in public administration from the Rockefeller College of the State University of New York at Albany.

Over the next year, Mandy will visit each Kendal community to learn more about the campuses, Kendal residents and staff and the Kendal system.

Based in Kennett Square, Kendal is a nonprofit provider of independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care in eight states.
