NORMAN, Okla. — MedCore Partners and The National Realty Group (TNRG) have unveiled plans for a 188-unit seniors housing community in Norman, just south of Oklahoma City.
The community, which does not yet have a name, will be located in the northern portion of the University North Park development. Upon completion the property will feature 100 assisted living units, 64 assisted living units and 24 memory care units.
The developers plan to purchase the 7.9-acre tract from The OU Foundation. Construction of Phase 1 of the 197,000-square-foot project is scheduled to begin in January 2020 for completion in summer 2021.
A second phase of development will eventually add another 75 independent living units, bring the total unit count up to 263.
Integral Senior Living (ISL) will manage the community, including oversight of all programs and resident services. Pi Architects is designing the Norman project with civil design by SMC Consulting Engineers in Oklahoma City.
MedCore and TNRG currently operate five senior living communities, expect to have a sixth in operation by August of this year, and have four additional projects that are either under construction or under development.
