Sparrow Partners to Break Ground on Sage Cobblestone Active Adult Community in Norman, Oklahoma

by Jeff Shaw

NORMAN, Okla. — Sparrow Partners will break ground this week on the first active adult community in Norman, the 168-unit Sage Cobblestone.

The community will be adjacent to the Cobblestone Creek Golf Course and 2.5 miles from the University of Oklahoma. The first residents are scheduled to move in to the six-acre property in the spring of 2022.

The community’s one- and two-bedroom apartments will rent for between approximately $1,400 and $2,055 a month, compared to the $3,345 average monthly cost of an assisted living facility in Oklahoma, according to SeniorCare.com. Apartments in Sage Cobblestone will range in size from 615 to 1,285 square feet and feature either private terraces or fenced-in backyards.

Sage Cobblestone will be the first development in Oklahoma for the Austin, Texas-based company, which has opened seven similar communities across the country in the last three years and has 14 more currently under development.

Sparrow Partners will build and own Sage Cobblestone while its subsidiary Sparrow Living will manage the property. The project team includes architect Fugleberg Koch, engineer Kimley-Horn, landscape designer Norris Design, Integrity Structural and Joseph Lawrence & Co.
