FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Trammell Crow Co. (TCC) and its joint venture partner Chelsea Senior Living have announced plans for a three-story, 93-unit senior living facility in Northern New Jersey known as The Chelsea at Fair Lawn.
Construction began in November and is scheduled for completion by December 2022.
Located in Fair Lawn, the community will be the town’s first independent living, assisted living and memory care community, according to TCC. The property will feature 26 independent living units and 67 assisted living/memory care units.
Douglas Coleman & Associates is the project architect and IMC is serving as the general contractor. Chelsea Senior Living will manage the new community. Valley Bank provided financing for the development.
The Chelsea at Fair Lawn is 20 miles northwest of New York City, situated on the main throughfare in the town of Fair Lawn. Downtown Fair Lawn has benefitted from a revitalization plan to increase in commercial and retail offerings in recent years. The community is close to various dining and entertainment options and accessible to New York City and surrounding metros via the Hawthorne NJ Transit train station.
This will be Chelsea’s 17th assisted living community in New Jersey. They also have locations in New York in Long Island and Westchester County.
