CLEARWATER, Fla. — Elevate Senior Living has broken ground on an independent living, assisted living and memory care community in the Tampa beach suburb of Clearwater. According to Elevate, more than 22 percent of Clearwater residents are seniors, and the percentage is expected to climb. Meanwhile, more than 14 million seniors in need of senior living services cannot afford what is currently being offered. Evergreen Plans 120-Unit Green Oaks of Valparaiso Affordable Community in Indiana

VALPARAISO, Ind. — Evergreen Real Estate Group has secured financing for Green Oaks of Valparaiso, a three-story, 120-unit assisted living community for low-income seniors in Valparaiso, approximately 45 miles southeast of Chicago. Development costs are estimated at $30 million. Evergreen Construction Co., a division of Evergreen Real Estate Group, will serve as general contractor on the development and plans to begin preliminary site work this month. Trammell Crow Plans 93-Unit Chelsea at Fair Lawn in Northern New Jersey

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Trammell Crow Co. (TCC) and its joint venture partner Chelsea Senior Living have announced plans for a three-story, 93-unit senior living facility in Northern New Jersey known as The Chelsea at Fair Lawn. Construction began in November and is scheduled for completion by December 2022. ENCINITAS, Calif. — Ware Malcomb has completed construction of Westmont of Encinitas, an assisted living community in the San Diego suburb of Encinitas. Ware Malcomb provided architectural services for the 91,334-square-foot project. The two-story building sits on 3.2 acres and features 93 units in studio, one- and two-bedroom options. Westmont Construction was the general contractor. Westmont Living is the operator.

ORLANDO — A partnership between Orange County, American Residential Communities and New South Residential has completed Phase I of Madison Landing, an affordable seniors housing community in Orlando. The seven-story building features 110 units in 105,011 square feet on 5.4 acres. Development costs were estimated at $23 million.
