RYE, N.H. — Benchmark Senior Living has completed a community enhancement initiative and rebranding of its memory care community in Rye. Evolve at Rye is now Benchmark at Rye. Benchmark purchased and began operating the community in November 2020. In addition to offering long-term residency, Benchmark at Rye is also a short-term respite care provider for those needing a break from caregiving, require extra care temporarily or a seek a trial of community living. Benchmark is looking to add traditional assisted living on the same campus.

TAYLORVILLE and PARIS, Ill. — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of two Life’s Journey-branded memory care communities in Taylorville and Paris, located approximately 97 miles apart in the southern portion of Illinois. Life’s Journey of Taylorville features 46 units in 25,000 square feet on a 4.2 acre plot. The community was built in 2012 and renovated in 2014. Occupancy was 69 percent at the time of sale. RICHMOND and VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has arranged the sale of two memory care communities in Richmond and Virginia Beach ProMedica acquired the assets with ownership partner Welltower for $31 million. The seller was not disclosed. The portfolio included two fully stabilized communities that boasted high occupancy and above-market rates. The Memory Center Richmond consists of 48 units and opened in 2015 while The Memory Center Virginia Beach consists of 48 units and opened in 2008.

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Anthem Memory Care has neared completion of Cascade Creek, a memory care development in Rochester. The project will be Anthem’s 12th and its first in Minnesota. The company says the number of people with memory care in the state is expected to rise by more than 20 percent by 2025. Cascade Creek features 45 suites that can accommodate 50 residents in a two-story building. The property is scheduled to open this summer.
